Dragon Ball Z is an anime television series and is the sequel to Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who defends the Earth against villains such as aliens, androids, and other creatures as well.

In the original Dragon Ball, the anime followed his adventures in his early life, whereas in Dragon Ball Z it continues his life into adulthood.
