The Eternals are another one of Marvel’s superhero teams. The Eternals are a group of immortals that were revered as gods at some point, and have secluded themselves to only dealing with their adversaries the Deviants and the Celestials. The Eternals had trouble getting their footing in the comic book world; unlike most heroes, they exist from a cancelled original series that had to be resolved in a Thor comicline, several mini series, and their latest big break, a live-action movie. Being tossed from writer to writer, the Eternals never quite found a stable comic line to their name. This isn’t to say they were unimportant; a lot of what the Eternals introduced showed up in other comic lines, and they made the occasional appearance in other comics.

The Eternals are being showcased this July as part of our “Super July” social media event, where we will be posting about various heroes in anticipation and celebration of the now released movies “Superman” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps”!
