The God of Thunder is today’s hero of the day! Thor made his Marvel Comics appearance in 1962, a hero based off the Norse god of the same name. Thor hails from the realm of Asgard, where he is one of the gods, the son of the king Odin, and occasionally king. Thor ends up on Earth in plenty of different ways, inevitably aiding them with his powers and joining superhero teams such as the Avengers.

Thor has seen many adventures, and shown how mighty he truly is in cartoons, comic series, live action films, and so much more. The Mighty Thor is being featured alongside plenty of other heroes this July as part of our “Super July” social media event, where we will be posting about various heroes in anticipation and celebration of the upcoming and now released movies “Superman” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps”!
