Hey Cobras!

Captain Marvel is the title given to the protectors of the Universe given powers from space! Starting with Kree officer Mar-Vell, he was dispatched to Earth to keep an eye on it for the Kree. He thought the Kree were awfully suspicious, and was branded a traitor! He used the powers of Captain Marvel to protect the Earth from intergalactic threats during his time as the hero. The title was passed down through several heroes since, until landing in the hands of Carol Danvers in 2012. Before her time as Captain Marvel, Carol was long-running hero Ms. Marvel.

Over the years we’ve seen plenty of heroes take the mantle of Captain Marvel, and go on to protect the universe and Earth using their otherworldly powers. We’ve seen Captain Marvel in cartoons, comic books, their own live-action film series, and more! Captain Marvel is being featured alongside plenty of other heroes this July as part of our “Super July” social media event, where we will be posting about various heroes in anticipation and celebration of the upcoming and now released movies “Superman” and “Fantastic Four: First Steps”!
