Steve Rogers Captain America is a hero that was created during the crux of World War 2, then went on to become one of Marvel comics most popular heroes. Originally beginning as a Nazi fighting, heavily patriotic character, Cap eventually was put on ice until the modern era, joining with the Avengers and taking on problems in modern day America. Captain America stands for the idealized America, and is often at odds with the American government to stand with his ideals.

Captain America has been in thousands of comic book issues, had an extremely successful movie trilogy, seen himself in cartoons, and in all has found himself as an icon for American superheroes. Captain America is one of the many heroes we are featuring this July as part of our “Super July” event, so be sure to follow our account to see all sorts of heroes. Super July is happening in anticipation of this month’s two new movies; Superman and Fantastic Four: First Steps.
