Let’s take a trip down memory lane to 1985, when She-Ra: Princess of Power burst onto the scene! Born as a spin-off of the iconic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe toyline, She-Ra was created by Mattel to expand their audience, especially reaching out to girls. The story centers around She-Ra, who happens to be He-Man’s twin sister. She led a fierce group of rebels against the evil Horde on the vibrant planet of Etheria.

Filmation stepped in to create an animated series that really brought these amazing characters and their world to life for a brand new generation of fans. The toys were fantastic, too! With their bright colors, rooted hair, fabric clothing, and sparkly details, they combined the thrill of fantasy adventures with the charm of fashion dolls.

Even though the original toyline only lasted a few years, She-Ra has always held a special place in our hearts. She made a grand comeback in 2018 with Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, introducing her amazing story to modern audiences and ensuring the legacy of the original toys lives on.
