2020, a year where crime ran rampant in cities, and police forces couldn’t combat them fast enough…

There was only one thing to do in light of this, a certain mayor of Empire City decided. He rounded up the best law enforcers of the country to create one unit to fight off the crime Big Boss and his goons have brought; COPS.

In 1988, COPS n’ Crooks was both a toyline and a TV show set in the year of 2020. (See, it’s funny because it’s now past 2020.) Big Boss, the leader of the gang causing havoc in Empire City, has created such a mess that not even the full police force can fight it. So, Mayor Davis calls in the federal government for help, and they send the highest trained law enforcement officers they can. The unit, known as COPS (Central Organization of Police Specialists), face off against Big Boss and his Crooks to bring peace to Empire City.

COPS didn’t slack when it came to a cast, having 21 main cops in the show and 11 main crooks, not to mention minor criminals, side characters, and more all having a role in the show. In their toy form, not every character was made, not even the main ones, but the toys still show variety in characters and vehicles alike.
