The Omnibot is a toy robot from the mid 1980’s! They released this toy in great anticipation that it would ignite the interest in robots once again since this was a time that advanced robots were a foreseeable future but obvious that it was quite a long ways away.

The Omnibot and the Omnibot 2000 (a more advanced version) both had a cassette tape built right into their chest.

This tape could record and play back sequences and audio recordings.

They were also able to relay speech from the remote control handset through the speaker attached to them and even could record movements at certain times!
