The Nintendo Power magazine started a monthly newsletter program in 1988, which featured video game strategies, reviews and sneak-peeks at upcoming titles, including demo disks later on in their run.

It wasn’t until December of 2012, with the rise of technology and online game resources, the newsletters were discontinued.
