Hanna-Barbera was created in 1957 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. They quickly became a staple for all kids’ Saturday morning cartoons across North America.
From the 1950s to the 1980s Hanna-Barbera created some of the most iconic cartoon characters and shows, like The Flinstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest, and The Smurfs.
In 1958 they launched their toy line, as quickly as a new charater was released, a toy plus action figure or board game soon followed.
Hanna-Barbera created a toy legacy that no matter how old you are you’ve seen at least one of their iconic characters!
The 2011 McFarlane line of Hanna-Barbera was exquistly detailed, more than all the other lines that came out.
Mezco released a line of Scooby-Doo figures that featured not only your four crime stoppers and their furry friend, but also some of your classic Scooby villains. When this line orginially hit the shelves it was a bit more costly than the average toy line. Starting between 30 and 40 dollars a piece.
Hanna-Barbera is definitely known as a founding member of both cartoons and toys.
